Proposals for club or a specific team requires board approval. Please contact the Director of Sponsorship at sponsorship@ottawajr67s.ca to further discuss.

Player Sponsorship

Players and families are encouraged by the Ottawa Jr. 67's "AAA" Hockey Club to obtain sponsorship(s) to offset the costs of playing elite level hockey. You have until October 15th to obtain sponsorship(s) that will be deducted from the player’s overall fees but cannot exceed this amount.

Safe Sports

Independent Safe Sport Complaint Process (Hockey Canada Safety Program) -- Hockey Canada and its Members want to end the culture of silence that exists in parts of hockey. To help ensure that we are a safe space for raising concerns, Hockey Canada has established a new, fully independent, and confidential reporting mechanism for all individuals regarding any incidents involving Hockey Canada sanctioned programming as outlined in the Action Plan. This reporting mechanism is known as the Independent Third Party and is led by Brian Ward and Erin Durant.

POLICE RECORD CHECKS

Step 1: Please download the volunteer letter template -

Fill in your full name, full address, telephone number and date of birth.
Sign and date the letter.
Once the letter is filled out, please forward the document to JR67s AAA Risk and Safety Director - riskandsafety@ottawajr67s.ca.
It will be signed electronically and emailed back to you. Note as of January 1, 2020 there is a $20.00 service fee. You must have a volunteer letter as well.

Step 2: Apply Online for the Ottawa Police - Level 3 – Vulnerable Sector Check - click here. For anyone residing outside the City of Ottawa, please click here.

Please be sure to request your results back via email for faster delivery. When you receive the completed PRC via email please DO NOT change the name of the file or extension as it may delete the information and you will be required to resubmit your application.

Step 3: Send the completed and signed document that you receive back from the Ottawa Police to riskandsafety@ottawajr67s.ca so it can be added to your Hockey Canada profile.

*Note: When applying online, ensure that you apply for Level 3 Vulnerable Sector Check

If you are asked to go in for fingerprints (it will be noted on your report with instructions on next steps) you will need to bring a paper copy of that email along with a paper copy of your JR67s AAA Volunteer letter to the Ottawa Police.

Please be advised, the JR67s AAA DOES NOT reimburse the $20.00 service fee.

Who Requires a Police Records Check?

All coaches, managers and trainers, all bench staff and volunteers who are monitoring the locker rooms.
